The Tennessee Alpaca Association hosts their 2025 Summer Social and Education Day on Saturday, June 7th from 9:30 AM - 4 PM, hosted by Karl & Jan Heinrich of Long Hollow Suri Alpacas in Gallatin, TN.

9:30 AM - 10:00 AM: Registration and Welcome

  • TAA business

  • Passport to Fun, September 20-28

  • Nomination Committee

  • Put your name in for the drawings throughout the day

10:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Farm Legacy 

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Color Sells presentation by Louise Nuttle from Nuttle Fiber Art and Design

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Potluck Lunch 

1:00 PM - 1:30 PM: Breakout Sessions

  • Hands On fun and easy to make products with alpaca

  • Meet two Tennessee mill owners, ask questions and/or drop off fiber

1:30 PM - 2:00 PM: Disaster Response Phase 2 by Mike Chissler

2:00 PM - 2:30 PM: Feed Sources and Information

2:30 PM - 3:30 PM: Herd Health Presentation and demonstration

  • Bring your FAMACHA card, see certification information below

  • Checking FAMACHA and BCS.  Giving shots, recording health data and more.

3:30 PM - 4:00 PM: Closing and networking
